The Nike Kyrie 5 “Bandulu” is a collaborative effort between the Boston-based brand known for their high-end vintage repurposing and Nike Basketball on Kyrie Irving’s fifth signature shoe. The upper of the sneaker consists of a pale ivory mesh base with paint splatters applied liberally to the midfoot that drip down to partly cover the white embroidered Swoosh. Additional splatters cover the toe and smaller embroidered white Swoosh hit. Hand-scribbled embroidery is prominent throughout the design as “Kyrie Irving” is written on the Venus flytrap lacing covers in red with “Nike Basketball” donning the left shoe and “Bandulu Street Culture” appearing on the right shoe. Finishing touches include a light olive tongue with a sail midsole and bright red outsole. The Nike Kyrie 5 “Bandulu” was released on July 27th, 2019.
