Ahead of the 1984 Olympic Games in LA, adidas released the LA Trainer. It quickly became iconic for its revolutionary Vario Shock Absorption System — removable tricolour heel pegs that allowed athletes to adjust the cushioning. Its influence was far-reaching, paving the way for other tech-driven adidas models like the Kegler and Grand Slam. The shoe gained immense popularity, particularly in the UK within the 80s Casuals movement, bringing adidas’ performance innovation to the streets. Today, it’s reissued in its OG colourway; a slice of history paying homage to its "Made in USA" roots with high-***, vintage-treated materials.
